very attractive and low-mileage V-12 E-type Coupe, with the desirable 4-speed manual gearbox and chrome wire wheels. This car was recently purchased from its believed 2nd owner in the Pacific Northwest, where it lived most all of it’s life garaged. The speedometer currently reads 27,161 miles which are original to this car and very believable! It still retains 100% of it’s wonderful original interior including the front and rear seats, dashboard, top pad, carpet set, panel set, etc. Only the headliner appears to have been replaced.
At some point in it’s life, this car received a very simple exterior repaint in it’s original color, which still looks very nice and glossy. There are a few small paint scratches and some minor flaking on the nose(which are pictured), and there is a rust bubble down low behind the RH wheelarch.
Nevertheless, the car presents beautifully overall and looks stunning in it’s suitable Regency Red coachwork. The car’s chromework is completely original and in great condition all the way around. The original rubber and glass are the same. The previous owner spent many hours under the bonnet carefully recommissioning and detailing all the engine’s ancillary items, as well as rebuilding the four original carburetors. The engine bay restoration is what sets this car apart, as it appears very fresh and factory correct.
The undercarriage of this car is commensurate with its mileage. Photos reveal perfectly solid and rust free floors. The drivetrain appears very clean, dry, and leak free.
The car has recently been fitted with 4 quality Michelin Energy steel belted radial tires. The car drives, steers, shifts, rides, brakes, and handles very well and comfortably, as expected from one of these low-mileage Grand Tourers. We are currently tuning the engine for a perfect idle…
Overall, a very nice and well-preserved low mileage E-type with all the right Series 3 options. This car is presented in a very desirable and attractive color scheme and is clearly very good value when compared to other models in this buoyant E-type market.
