This is a beautiful example of a 1953 (mfg date) XK120 DHC.  Titled as a 1954, this beautiful XK120 DHC went through a full body off restoration in the mid 1990’s.  When it was completed, the owner never drove her.  He would sit in his garage, drink in hand and just awe at her beauty.  He passed away shortly after the restoration.  She was then sold as part of the estate to a local british car club member.  He drove her for, maybe, a year or less.  Then she developed a brake leak.  He parked her, never to be driven again until I revived her.  He trailored her to car shows, winning many awards.  I would see her on the back of the trailer at car shows, always wanting to acquire her and get her back on the road again where she belonged…  Well, to my luck, she became available to purchase last year.  The owner needed the cash to complete another classic car that he owned.  So it was finally mine!  It took me many months to get her road worthy again.  Gas tank replacement, new fuel lines, and many new parts (new battery x1 small 12v; all gauges sent to Nissonger for redo; clock to Mike Eck for redo; all new fluids; many other new parts totalling over $9k).
