Gorgeous all-aluminum bodied Jaguar C-Type #18 Le Mans Sports Racer replica! Powered by strong 4.2L engine and fitted with disc brakes, rack and pinion steering, and Smiths instrumentation! Superbly built with show quality paint!!
When the head of Jaguar, Bill Lyons, set out to put Jaguar on the podium at Le Mans in 1950, his efforts created the C-Type. Based originally on the XK120 platform and engine, the XK120โCโ stood for Competition. Unveiled in 1951, it immediately took a first place finish, and again in 1953 before the D-Type took over as the new racing legend. With the C-Types short-lived success on the track, its place in racing history is forever assured. Only 53 units were said to have produced, of which were all sold to the public for normal street use and to driven to the track on race day. They proved to be very tractable road cars!
