very original low mile Jaguar XJS. The car has the XJ12, 12 cylinder engine. I bought this car on a whim from a gentleman that had spent several years in Japan. The car was here sitting for years. It was not running and he didn’t know why. I was able to drain the gas in it that was bad, and put on a new fuel pump. After doing this the car started right up. The gold paint still looks good for the year, although it has some minor cracking in the clearcoat. This car has zero rust! No major dents or dings, only a couple very minor dents, scratches and blemishes. The interior is in great condition for the year, especially considering it comes from Arizona. Normally the interiors are rotted out here so they car has obviously been covered or garaged most its life. The interior has a few trim pieces that need to be put back on like the upper door trim on the passenger side and the visors. I have the pieces but you may need some new hardware to install them. The seats are soft and in nice condition but some of the stitching is tearing, please see pics, this can be repaired. The car runs decently has a small stumble at idle most noticeably when first started it then seems to smooth out. I have only driven this car around the neighborhood and idled it out front. The car drives nice and smooth, brakes work, but I do not want to drive it much because the tires have some rotting from sitting, although the tread is good I would recomend replacing them. I have idled the car for up to an hour and the temp sits between the N and H. It seems high to me and when I drove it around the neighborhood it stayed in that range. I replaced a leaking reservoir and can’t find any other leaks. All the lights work and everything in the interior works. The AC works but the air does not come out of the vents very hard at all. Maybe a vacuum leak? I haven’t tested the heater. All in all I don’t have a use for this car I bought it because I got a good deal and was curious about it. Fun car, lots of power and with the low miles it would be great to restore as a collector. It comes with all manuals etc, and has the very nice upgrade oem steering wheel, although the center cap is missing.
