What you are looking at here today is a totally original 1973 Daimler DS420 Limousine. These were built by Jaguar from 1968-1992 and were the most expensive, hand built, cars ever made by Jaguar. Never sold in the USA, this one is RHD and complete. It has the famous 4.2 litre Jaguar Engine and Borg Warner Automatic transmission. These cars were based on the floorpan of the MKX Jaguar and stretched 24 inches and a custom, all steel limousine body built by Vanden Plas coachbuilders (that built many Rolls and Bentleys also). This particular one has it”s Heritage trust certificate and clear Penn title. I have had it in my building for a several years thinking to restore it. It is a pretty good one to start with. The floors are solid and all the windows roll up and down, all doors open and close nicely and everything fits well. Under the hood (or bonnet) everything is untouched and original with 2 SU Carbs and all intact. Engine is free turning and complete. Car needs restored inside and out but well worth doing. It has a glass division between you and that pesky driver so you and your rear passenger will not be disturbed. I am a Jag guy and have had a number of these Daimlers and there is no more fun for the money anywhere than showing up at a snooty restaurant in one of these. The valet will move a Ferrari to let you park in the front. They are all Jaguar mechanicals so everything is available. Car has the famous Jaguar Rear independent suspension for a superior ride quality. Alas, I am 75 years old and am probably not going to get to this car so I want to see someone else get it that will appreciate what a rare car these are.especially in the USA. so I have decided to sell it at so good luck to you all.
